Clarksville Police are investigating a home invasion on Post Road where a teenage male was shot and killed Friday morning.
Spokesman Jim Knoll says when officers responded to the home in the 2000 block at 12:30am they were flagged down outside the residence by the homeowners and were told a family member had been shot. The victim was transported by ambulance to Tennova Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
During the investigation, Knoll reports officers determined multiple males had entered the residence, gunshots were heard by the occupants inside, and it was discovered the teenager had been shot. The inside of the home was ransacked, but police say the other occupants inside the residence were unharmed. After the men fled the scene, they called 911.
Investigators believe this is not a random act and indicate the general public is not in danger.
