Voter turnout seemed to pick up at precincts in Christian, Trigg and surrounding counties Tuesday afternoon. Christian County Clerk Mike Kem says they had one problem with a machine earlier in the day. He adds they have seen a pretty good turnout.

After some concerns Tuesday morning, Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley says voting picked up at the precincts Tuesday afternoon, and she is still shooting for her earlier prediction of a 30% turnout.

Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan says turnout has been steady, and they have not had any problems but mainly questions.

Caldwell County Clerk Toni Watson told the News Edge it’s been a normal election day. She tells us they had problems with one of the voting machines that had to be replaced with a spare, but mainly they have just fielded questions from residents about where to vote.
