A man was airlifted to a Nashville hospital after a single-vehicle wreck on Averitt Road in Trigg County Thursday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Rick Johnson told the News Edge the 52-year old driver was traveling west on Canton Road when he ran off the road into a field.

Lt. Johnson says the man’s condition and injuries were unknown at the time, but he was being flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash scene shortly before 9am.
