Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on US 68/KY 80 in Trigg County Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 1pm, Montgomery and Gracey Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to the car fire near the 26 mile marker of US 68/KY 80 in the eastbound lanes about 3 miles east of Interstate 24 near the row of tobacco barns owned by R&B Farms.
Eastbound traffic was blocked for about 30 minutes while fire crews arrived on the scene and extinguished the blaze.
The driver of the car escaped without any injuries. It’s unknown at this time what caused the vehicle to ignite.
