The Christian County Sheriff’s Department and the coroner’s office are investigating a body that was discovered Sunday evening. Public Information Officer Captain Chris Miller says around 7:12 a passerby noticed what appeared to be a body lying in a wood line on the side of Deason Lane.
The sheriff’s department responded to the scene that is about 1/4 mile from the Antioch Road intersection. Miller says the coroner’s office was called to the scene, with Deputy Coroner Zach Lamb responding. Lamb pronounced the male victim dead. Miller says it is unclear at this time how long the body has been at the location.
Investigators are expected to remain on the scene as they continue to process the scene to determine the victim’s identity and what led to his death. No arrests have been made in the case.
Miller says on other information is being released at this time. He adds updates will be provided as they are released by the lead investigators.
