
A Hopkinsville man who police say was driving on the Boulevard with a flat tire Thursday night was arrested on a DUI.
Hopkinsville Police report 57-year old Tony Jones was observed by an officer driving down Fort Campbell Boulevard Wednesday night with a flat tire that the officer noticed was beginning to fall off the rim. The officer made a traffic stop and says Jones had slurred speech, glassy eyes and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. The report says Jones stated to the officer he had drank a pint of alcohol before driving. Police indicate a breathalyzer was conducted and Jones registered a .195 Blood Alcohol Content.
Jones was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs Aggravating Circumstances, and Careless Driving.
