Three Hopkinsville Fire Departments responded to a structure fire that occurred on Kenwood Drive Thursday evening.
Public Information Officer Captain Michael Pendleton tells the News Edge firefighters responded to 2730 Kenwood Drive at 6:10 p.m. and found heavy smoke and flames coming from a two-car garage behind the residence. He says the fire was controlled within minutes of arrival, but the garage was a total loss. The radiant heat from the heavily involved garage also damaged the vinyl siding on two adjacent homes. No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
According to Captain Pendleton, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
