All gates at the Fort Campbell Army base were closed for a short time Sunday morning after a vehicle failed to stop while passing through one of the gates. Fort Campbell officials announced on their Facebook site Sunday morning around 9:20 that all gates were locked as a result of the incident.
Around 9:40 Fort Campbell announced that all gates were back open and operating normally.
According to the post, standard procedure dictates that all gates be closed until the vehicle is located or the situation is deemed all clear.
No other details about the incident, including which gate was involved, have been released by Fort Campbell officials.
