The Trigg County Industrial Foundation will soon seek bids for the crop lease at the industrial park. Board members approved to advertise for sealed bids for the lease in the Interstate 24 Business Park located in Cadiz during the Cadiz-Trigg County Economic Development Commission meeting Tuesday morning. Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander tells the News Edge the lease had expired late last year.

Judge Alexander says that farmers have the opportunity to place bids to lease the land and grow crops.

He adds that R B Farms previously leased the land, and had planted crops this year.

The Interstate 24 Business Park crop lease will include 82 acres to grow crops on.
An advertisement will soon be running in the newspaper for the sealed bids.The City of Cadiz will be using 5 acres of the industrial park land to build a new water treatment plant. A ground breaking ceremony for the water treatment plant will take place in September.
