On Monday, Governor Matt Bevin appointed a former Racers and professional football player to the Murray State University Board of Regents.
Eric Fletcher Crigler, of Germantown, is a veteran of the financial services industry, having helped found firms in fields of investment management, health care services, reinsurance and auto finance, according to a news release. After graduating cum laude from MSU with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, he earned his MBA degree in finance and economics from Indiana University.
While playing football for the MSU Racers, Crigler earned the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Scholar-Athlete Award and was awarded a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) post-graduate scholarship. He was also selected in the National Football League (NFL) draft and played for the Cincinnati Bengals in 1990 and 1991.
