Kentucky State Police are searching for a Winchester man after he escaped Sunday night from the Keaton Correctional Facility in Paducah.
KSP Post 1 Public Affairs Officer Trooper Jay Thomas says the inmate was reported missing around 8:30 p.m. after staff conducted a head count and discovered 28-year old Charles Richards.
Police describe Richards as a white male, 5’09”, blonde hair, and blue eyes. They say it is unknown what he was wearing at the time of his escape.
KSP indicates Richards was serving time for manufacturing methamphetamine.
