Hopkinsville firefighters battled a house fire on Par Place through the early morning hours. According to Hopkinsville Fire Department Public Information Officer Captain Michael Pendleton, units from all four Hopkinsville Fire Stations responded to the fire at 212 Par Place after 8:00 Sunday night.
When firefighters arrived there was heavy fire and smoke coming from the upstairs and attic area of the home. A fifth Hopkinsville fire unit was called in with emergency call back staffing.
When firefighters arrived all the occupants of the home had evacuated without injuries. Two firefighters were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment of minor injuries they received during the operations.
Crews remained on the scene through the early morning hours, with the cause of the fire still under investigation.
