A Hopkinsville man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted another man with an ax Wednesday afternoon. According to Hopkinsville Police, officers responded to the area of Brown and East Fourth streets and found Darius Clark with cuts to his head, neck, arm and other areas of his body. He told officers 35-year old Eddrecus Williams had attacked him with an ax, and then fled to his home on East 7th Street. Upon arrival at the East 7th Street home, officers reportedly found blood on the door and Williams inside the residence.
Williams was taken into custody and booked into custody and lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 1st Degree Assault.
Clark was reportedly transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and then transferred to a Nashville hospital.
