Police say a Hopkinsville man parked behind a closed business on Country Club Lane was arrested over the weekend after officers found marijuana and meth found inside the vehicle.
Hopkinsville Police report 21-year old Austin Mosley was found parked behind the Tobacco Patch while an officer was conducting an extra patrol at Tom’s Pharmacy early Saturday morning while the businesses were closed. Upon contact with Mosley, he informed police he was an employee of the business and was there to use the restroom. Police say Mosley went on to state he normally opens the business and that management was aware he uses the business after hours. While the officer continued to talk with Mosley, he noticed a hand-rolled cigarette in the cup holder of the vehicle, which Mosley said was marijuana. During a search of the truck, police say they found an eyeglasses case behind the seat, which contained a straw, a glass pipe wrapped in tissue and a plastic baggy with a crystal rock like substance consistent with methamphetamine.
Mosley was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
