A burglary in progress call at an apartment on South Virginia Street landed a 38-year old man behind bars Sunday night.
According to Hopkinsville Police, officers were dispatched to 2501 South Virginia Street at 8:40 p.m. where they made contact with the homeowner, who advised that an unknown male was inside her apartment laying down in the bathtub. Police say the male, identified as Jason Adams, seemed to be under the influence of some type of narcotic. They say the apartment owner advised that Adams pulled up the carpet in her child’s room and broke several items in her closet, causing approximately $200 in damage.
Adams was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Burglary.
