Authorities are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars worth of miscellaneous items from a storage unit in Pembroke.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy responded to the storage units located at 142 North Main Street on Friday, August 17, after receiving a call Matthew Balsey of Clarksville. Balsey advised the deputy he was contacted by the property owner that his lock had been cut off his unit. Upon arrival, Balsey reportedly found the padlock missing and more than $17,000 worth of items missing. Balsey provided an itemized list to the sheriff’s office.
At this time, deputies say there are no leads as to who broke into the unit.
