Police say a Hopkinsville man was arrested on his 4th DUI after he crashed into the rear of a patrol car at a fast food restaurant early Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 28-year old Michael Crow was the driver of a vehicle that hit the cruiser at the Taco Bell drive thru located at 2629 Fort Campbell Boulevard shortly after 12:17 a.m. Upon contact, officers say they smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and marijuana coming from the vehicle. Crow reportedly said the marijuana smell was coming from his “buddy.” Police say Crow stated he had consumed two beers at a Hopkinsville restaurant. Officers indicate Crow performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was uncooperative at times.
Crow was taken into custody and lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with his 4th offense for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs with aggravator, and No/Expired Registration.
