The News Edge has learned former Crofton fire chief Jeremy Marlar and former firefighter Glen McGee will each face a 10-year sentence after they were found guilty on charges of second-degree arson and official misconduct. McGee was also found guilty on a charge of third-degree Burglary.

Last week, according to court records, former firefighter Dylan Hodge appeared before Judge John Atkins and entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge of second-degree facilitation to arson after he was originally charged with second-degree arson. By taking the plea deal, a five-year sentence was diverted to probation, and he also had to testify against Marlar and McGee.

Earlier this month, Judge Atkins granted a motion to sever firefighter Dakota Oglesby’s case from the other firefighters due to his attorney, Robert Haggard, having health issues. Oglesby is facing charges of second-degree arson and third-degree burglary.
