The Christian County Sheriff’s Office has released a few more details regarding the death of a Trigg County woman who fell out of a Jeep Tuesday night on Striped Bridge Road.
Public Information Officer Detective Captain Chris Miller reports deputies responded to the 4100 block of Striped Bridge Road around 10:00 p.m regarding a female that had fallen out of a moving vehicle and sustained severe injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed 49-year old Trina McAllister Akin of Cadiz fell out of a Jeep driven by 31-year old Brandon Pickett, of Striped Bridge Road. Captain Miller says Akin later died from her injuries in the ambulance while en route to the hospital.
Pickett was arrested on the scene and charged with murder and DUI. He is lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
Deputy Coroner Zach Lamb told the News Edge an autopsy was scheduled in Madisonville Wednesday morning.
Captain Miller says the death investigation is ongoing.
