Authorities say a Hopkins County man drove himself to be checked out for injuries after a wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard at Crenshaw Drive in Christian County Tuesday morning.
According to Hopkinsville Police, 43-year old John Doroba of Nortonville was driving south on the boulevard talking on a hands-free device when he noticed the traffic light at Crenshaw Drive was green, but he started to feel dizzy. He said the next thing he remembered was waking up in his car in the ditch. Police say the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and hit a sign before coming to rest in the ditch.
Doroba reportedly complained of neck and back pain but declined EMS transport and said he was going to drive himself to Premier Medical Group.
