The Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club presented three local organizations with checks during Thursday’s meeting.
A $500 check was presented to Happy Feet, an organization giving shoes to children in the community. Joey Pendelton leads the Christian County chapter and says they are currently measuring children’s feet to provide the right size shoes.
$1,800 was presented to the Hopkinsville chapter of the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army, most known for their response during emergencies and disasters in providing assistance like meals, clothing, financial aid, accommodation, emergency shelters, counseling and more.
The Boys and Girls Club in Hopkinsville was presented a check for $3,500. The clubs mission statement is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, responsible and productive citizens.”
