Man Charged After Firing Stolen Gun During Argument

Antwaine Loving

A call about an individual with a gun involved in an argument at Moores Court landed a previously convicted felon back behind bars facing multiple charges.

According to Hopkinsville Police, when officers arrived at Moores Court shortly after 9:30 Thursday morning they found 29-year old Antwaine Loving arguing with an individual and walking away. When police told him to get on the ground, Loving reportedly tossed a black handgun in order to hide it. After securing the handgun and running the serial number, police found the gun had been stolen. Police say the female victim Loving was arguing with stated he had hit her multiple times, causing visible injuries to her neck. The victim said when she went to call 911, Loving allegedly took her phone, left and then returned and fired three rounds outside the apartment. Officers say they found the three shell casings that matched the handgun.

Loving was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property – a firearm, and other offenses.
