Police say a Hopkinsville man fled from officers after they tried to stop him for riding a bicycle without a headlight or reflectors on West 2nd Street Thursday night.
Officers report when they instructed 34-year old Jarvis Caldwell to stop he started peddling faster and then dumped the bike and ran, jumping over several fences. Caldwell was reportedly found hiding behind a home in the 100 block of South Elm Street just before 9:00 p.m. where he was taken into custody.
Caldwell was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with fleeing or evading police on foot and other offenses.
