A Hopkinsville teen was injured after his bike was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of West 7th Street and Westwood Drive Friday night.
According to a Hopkinsville Police report, 16-year old Jaden Weaver was traveling eastbound in the westbound shoulder of West 7th Street when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 24-year old Amber Santiago of Hopkinsville who was turning right on to the road. Santiago told police she did not see Weaver or his bike. The police officer who responded to the call reported the bicycle did not have a light and Weaver was wearing dark clothing.
Weaver was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
