Due to a number of issues, CSX delayed its plans to close East 9th Street, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The street was initially scheduled to be closed Tuesday night but is now set to close around 6:00 Wednesday evening at the railroad crossing between South Clay Street and South Campbell Street.
The street is expected to be closed in this area for about two to three days to allow rail work and rail crossing upgrades.
