During a special/workshop meeting Thursday night, the Christian County Board of Education unanimously approved the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 audit report prepared by Duguid, Gentry & Associates.

Anna Gentry presented an overview of the 112-page report and said the district received a clean opinion.
She noted there were no findings.
In addition, Gentry said there were no financial statement findings or questioned costs on the major federal programs of the school breakfast and lunch programs, and school improvement grants.
Gentry noted that the district continues to improve in the area of Red Book.
In other business, school board members approved the first payment to Swift Roofing for the Indian Hills Elementary School partial roof replacement for an amount of $206,334.
Board members also awarded a bid to 4th & Main Auto Sales for the purchase of a 2018 Dodge Caravan seven-passenger van for Christian County High School for $23,500.
Prior to the meeting, board members recognized the members of the Special Olympics Team, who have participated in track and field, softball, bowling, and basketball.
The next regular school board meeting will be Thursday evening, November 15th, at 6:00.
