A traffic stop Thursday night at South Virginia Street and Kenwood Drive landed a Hopkinsville woman behind bars facing several charges.
Hopkinsville Police report 34-year old Tamara Carner was pulled over when she was traveling south on Hazel Street and failed to make a complete stop at 22nd Street. Upon contact, police say Carner had an “overwhelming odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle”. Police indicate Carner produced three driver’s license.
During a search of her vehicle, she reportedly kept moving around a lot and huddling close to the patrol car. Officers later found a crack cocaine pipe loaded with brillo on the ground where Carner was standing.
Carner was arrested and booked into the Christian County Jail charged with possessing drug paraphernalia, tampering with physical evidence, having more than one operator’s license and other offenses.
