The Pennyroyal Center Board of Directors announced Thursday they have chosen a new executive director of the Center. According to a release, Eric Embry, who was serving an interim executive director since July, has been chosen after a nationwide search to fill the position after Ian McFadden announced he was resigning in July after serving in the role for two years.
Embry began his career at the Pennyroyal Center in 2000 as the Coordinator of Fiscal Services. Over his 18-year old career, he has served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Financial/Administrative Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Interim Chief Executive Officer. Since joining the organization, officials say he has spearheaded many major organizational and technical shifts across the portfolio of services offered by the Center.
Embry currently resides in Hopkinsville with his wife, Jamie and their three children.
Board Chair Bonnie Lynch says the board members know that Embry’s dedication and vision of the Pennyroyal Center will allow the continuation of providing high-quality services for the people in our region. She says the Board fully believes that the Center’s best days lie ahead.
