Trigg County Fiscal Court magistrates approved to give Trigg County Hospital a portion of the first payment of tax money collected from the new hospital tax during a special called meeting Thursday morning.
Judge-executive Hollis Alexander says the hospital has to make a $400,000 payment by December 1.
Alexander adds they can’t give all of the tax money collected to the hospital just yet.
According to Alexander, the rest of the tax money collected will be given to the hospital in early January 2019.
Magistrates approved the payment by a 6-0 vote with Jon Goodwin absent from the special called meeting.
Magistrates voted to approve the additional 10 cent per hundred dollar tax on all real estate and personal property on August 13, 2018.
