The Way Christian Youth Center is one step closer to completely paying off their new building on Lafayette Street after the annual Ms. Santa Candy and Cookie Bazaar.
Volunteer Bob Brame tells the News Edge they raised over $3,600 during the Saturday afternoon event.
Brame adds he is thankful to everyone who donated to make the event a huge success.
Brame and Martha Davis, another volunteer at The Way both say the crowds were big all day.
The Way Christian Youth Center has been working hard to pay off their new building over the last couple of years. With Saturday’s fundraiser, they now owe less than 10% on the building.
The Ms. Santa Candy and Cookie Bazaar was held inside the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex. People were able to stop in and get a pound of sweets for $5 a pound.
