First Caldwell Cram The Cruiser A Success

Caldwell County’s first “Cram the Cruiser” event was a huge success.
Christ Tabernacle Food Pantry Coordinator Missy Gill says that 779 pounds of food were donated during the event held Friday at WPKY. She adds that over $130 was also donated that will be used to purchase food for the pantry.
Kentucky State Trooper Hunter Carroll, who donated his cruiser for the event, says that throughout the course of the day he had to call in a backup cruiser, and even eventually used a truck owned by one of the Food Pantry’s volunteers, to hold all of the food. The back of the pickup truck was completely full by three on Friday afternoon.
Trooper Carroll says that he loves doing these types of events because it helps him serve the community in a different way.

The Christ Tabernacle Food Pantry, which operates in part through Feed America, Kentucky’s Heartland, is open twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from noon until 2 PM. Every month the pantry also has a mass distribution day, normally held on Friday during the second full week of the month.

WPKY the Tiger, Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, and the Christ Tabernacle Food Pantry sincerely thank all those who came and helped “Cram the Cruiser.”
