During the last fiscal court meeting of the year Tuesday morning, Christian County magistrates approved upgrades to the emergency communications center system as recommended by the E-911 Advisory Board.

Magistrates approved a payment of $4,083 to Kenwood Media Dock, which Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham explained this would replace the failing media dock.

Magistrates also unanimously approved a payment of nearly $12,000 to Max Solutions Workstations which Graham said would update computer workstations at the Emergency Communications Center.

In addition, magistrates approved an Agreement of Affiliation with the Christian County Rescue Team for Fiscal Year 2019, as well as the Emergency Operations Plan and Search and Rescue Plan.
In other business, magistrates approved the second reading of an ordinance regarding a lease and the transfer of funds for the James E. Bruce Convention Center as explained by Squire Darryl Gustafson at the November 27 fiscal court meeting.

In other action, Judge-Executive Steve Tribble appointed Slone Cansler to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library Board to fill the remainder of newly elected magistrate Jerry Gilliam’s term.
