Police say a burglary in progress call on Braden Street Monday evening led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man on several charges.
According to Hopkinsville Police, officers responded to 402 Braden Street and found 48-year old William Landers inside the abandoned residence while carrying two syringes, as well as a straight-edged razor switchblade in his front pants pocket.
Landers was taken into custody and taken to the Christian County Jail. During a strip search, police reportedly found Landers in possession of a small package of a white crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine. He was charged with first-degree burglary, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, first-degree promoting contraband, and possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
