Authorities say a woman has been charged in connection to a double shooting in Montgomery County Tuesday night. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Rossview and Guthrie roads.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Sandra Brandon reports the victims, a married couple, called 911 to report the incident and then drove themselves to Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville. She says the husband was shot in the face and was later transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in critical condition. Brandon indicates the wife was shot in the arm and appeared to have a graze wound on her head from a bullet.
47-year old Barbara Cowdrey was taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a $500,000 bond. Police say additional charges may be pending.
Investigators believe the shooting is an isolated incident because the victims and suspect knew each other.
