A Hopkinsville woman was charged with DUI after a two-vehicle wreck on Pyle Lane Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police report 28-year old Jordan Latham was driving northbound on Pyle Lane around 10:00 when she crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle driven by 38-year old Joshua Meacham of Hopkinsville. Police say Latham smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and was unsteady while standing.
According to police, eyewitnesses stated Latham ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected, causing her to travel into the other lane of traffic.
Both drivers refused medical treatment.
Latham was arrested and booked into the Christian County Jail charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
