A traffic stop on Phelps Avenue led to a drug trafficking charge Tuesday night.
According to a Hopkinsville Police report, 36-year-old Raymond J. Kranz III of Hopkinsville was stopped after police say he failed to use his turn signal 100 feet before his turn. During the stop, a K9 was deployed around his vehicle and alerted to drugs. Police reportedly found several baggies of methamphetamine and pipes inside the vehicle.
Kranz was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
