The new Jennie Stuart Health Foundation is in the early stages of preparations for fundraising for the hospital. The Jennie Stuart Health Board of Directors formed the Foundation Board of Directors during 2018.
Hopkinsville native, Tracey Clark was named Executive Director and began her duties on October 1. She says there are many health care needs in the community, and the job of the foundation is to provide financial support of Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

She says many communities are losing their hospitals, and the area is fortunate to have Jennie Stuart Health as a community hospital.

Clark, who retired in May as Director of Grant Management at Sanctuary, Inc., says Jennie Stuart makes many contributions to the community.

One of the first projects of the Jennie Stuart Health Foundation is funds for the E. C. Green Cancer Center.

The Tree of Life Fund has been in existence for several years. Clark says it is a great way to honor or remember someone with a donation to the cancer center.

The Foundation is also seeking long term commitments and endowments from residents who might want to make significant gifts. Clark says they will work with anyone and their legal advisors about financial planning. The foundation will soon have a website, but in the meantime, the contact number is 270-887-0181.
