A Hopkinsville woman was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia Monday.
According to police 32-year-old Rachel Griggs was found to have methamphetamine and a glass pipe after police went to her Butler Road home.
Griggs allegedly hit an officer in his upper body during the investigation.
She was also charged with obstructing governmental operations.
