The Board of Directors of The Pennyroyal Arts Council has announced the appointment of a new Assistant Executive Director.
In a post on social media, they say Becky Green will assist with scouting talent to add to the Pennyroyal Arts Councils Live! At the Alhambra music and performance series. She will lead event planning and manage fundraising for the Alhambra Theatre and The Hall at the Alhambra Theatre, and she will be responsible for the overall operations of the newly renovated theatre.
Arts Council Executive Director, Margaret Prim says they are thrilled to welcome Green to the team. She says with the expansion and renovation of the Alhambra Theatre coupled with the addition of Green and the experience she brings, they are excited for this next stage of programming this allows us to provide to our community.
Green, a Hopkinsville native, returned in 2017 to manage her family farm. While doing so, she successfully launched Hopkinsvilles first subscription-based fresh produce program as well as expanded offerings of Giles Farms to include a pumpkin patch.
Prior to her return to Hopkinsville, she was a partner in Nashville-based Jumpstart Foundrys marketing division, co-founder of Huckleberry Branding, and served as communications lead for Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Green says she is inspired by the Pennyroyal Arts Councils commitment to rich programming and looks forward to working with the staff, the board, and patrons to help fulfill the organizations mission.
Green will begin her duties on Friday, January 18.
