Hopkinsville officials and community members gathered Thursday afternoon to cut the ribbon at the new Hopkinsville Transit Bus Shelter at Hopkinsville Community College.
Ward 4 Councilman Paul Henson says he is glad the transit system continues to grow.
Director of Pennyrile Allied Community Services Harold Monroe adds the partnership with Hopkinsville Transit has been very helpful for them.
Hopkinsville Community College President Dr. Alissa Young says the new shelter at the college will help her students get to and from classes.
The new bus stop shelters help mark the fifth anniversary of Hopkinsville Transit. The public transportation system operates weekdays from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Learn more by visiting the Hopkinsville Transit Facebook page.
