Christian County Fiscal Court magistrates took action Tuesday morning to stop drugs and other contraband from being brought into the jail by approving a bid for a a body scanner. Magistrates approved the lone bid of $185,000 submitted by Romaine Company, the representative for the ADANI body scanner.

He notes the body scanner will also be used on approximately 60 work release inmates that go out into the community every day for non-profit agencies.
Boyd adds that they cannot conduct strip searches unless they have probable cause to do so.
