The Trigg County Seniors Center has raised around 65% of the money needed to keep the center open under normal operations.
Center Director Cissy Lawrence announced the latest fundraising total during lunch Monday morning.
Lawrence adds they raised over $4,000 during their gospel concert at Canton Baptist Church Saturday night, but donations have continued to pour in from numerous members of the community.

According to Lawrence, they have a country ham raffle that will start in the next few days and they will sell chances again for a 65″ 4-K Smart Television donated by Walmart of Hopkinsville in March.
Trigg County Judge/Executive Hollis Alexander thanks all of the seniors who have helped to raise money for the center.

The Trigg County Fiscal Court voted to help pay the rest of the costs for the center during a meeting last month.
Alexander adds the center has another need but assured everyone they will help to meet that need.
