Riley adds it is important to know blood pressure numbers, so it can be controlled if it is too high. Regular checkups with healthcare providers can help keep the numbers in check and they will provide ways on how to lower them. Another number that needs to be checked is cholesterol.

Riley invites everyone out to the 2019 Christian County Heart Walk coming up on Saturday morning, April 20, 2019, at the West Kentucky State Fairground on Richard Street. Registration will begin at 8:00, with the walk to start at 9:00. Money raised during the event will help to find cures for the disease.
