A person of interest in a May 2018 murder in Clarksville turned himself in to police just hours after they asked the public for assistance in locating him. Clarksville Police Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says 21-year-old Tyler “Tybaby” Stilke turned himself in around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. He was also wanted on an active warrant for violation of probation.

As the News Edge previously reported in May of last year, Knoll said when officers responded to the home in the 2000 block of Post Road around 12:30 a.m. they were flagged down outside the residence by the homeowners and were told a family member had been shot. The victim was transported by ambulance to Tennova Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, Knoll reports officers determined multiple males had entered the residence, gunshots were heard by the occupants inside, and it was discovered the teenager had been shot. The inside of the home was ransacked, but police say the other occupants inside the residence were unharmed. After the men fled the scene, they called 911.
