Hopkinsville Police say the officer who was shot during a pursuit Monday morning on North Drive in Hopkinsville is continuing to recover from two gunshot wounds at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Chief Clayton Sumner says Officer Jeremy Davidson has been with the department a relatively short time.
Sumner says an officer is standing by at the hospital with Officer Davidson.
Sumner says the department remains focused on bringing those responsible for the shooting to justice, with counseling to be made available to officers.
Officer Davidson has a wife and children.
