More rain and possibly some severe thunderstorms are forecast for the area this weekend.
Weather Edge Forecaster David Powell says rain will continue into Saturday when severe thunderstorms are possible across western Kentucky.

He notes the severe storms could also produce tornadoes in the area.

After the storm system moves through, Powell says cold temperatures will return. He adds this is similar to the weather pattern we had last February when a tornado touched down in Hopkinsville.
