A 17-year-old from Hopkinsville was arrested after a pursuit and theft Saturday night.
According to a Logan County Sheriff’s Office report, the teen reportedly took a cell phone from someone at the BP gas station in Elkton and the owner was able to get someone to follow the teen in a vehicle and crossed into Logan County.
The victim stayed in contact with Logan County deputies and they attempted to stop the vehicle on US 68 at US 79S but the driver acted as if he was going to stop but fled coming to a stop only after hitting a sidewalk retaining wall on South Main Street in Russellville.
The vehicle was also found to be stolen out of Hopkinsville and the teen was taken by ambulance to Skyline Medical Center for injuries from the wreck.
A full list of charges has not been released.
