The Hopkinsville Police Department will host a news conference concering the shooting of HPD Officer Jeremy Davidson Monday morning at 10:00. The conference will take place at the Hopkinsville Police Department.
Davidson was shot in the line of duty Monday, February 18, when he attempted to stop a pickup truck that he was pursuing along North Drive in Hopkinsville. Davidson was taken to Skyline Medical Center after the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Keith Kuzyk of Clarksville, opened fire on Officer Davidson’s police cruiser with an AR-15 Assault Rifle.
Kuzyk and three others were arrested later that day by police in Hopkinsville and Clarksville.
Davidson was released from Skyline Medical Center Tuesday, February 19, and was welcomed back to Hopkinsville with a police escort.
