The Christian County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program now has their first volunteer after she was sworn in Tuesday morning.
Linda Farmer says it’s a wonderful thing to finally have the CASA program in the county.
She adds they find success when a case is closed and the family is reunited.
According to Farmer, CASA workers are involved in every step of the child’s case.
Farmer was sworn in by Christian County Family Court Judge Jason Fleming.
Christian County CASA Executive Director Virginia Erxleben says volunteers are still needed for the program. If you are interested in volunteering, call her at (270) 887-4024. The program kicked off in Christian County in late January.
