Twelve regional high school juniors joined other students from across the Commonwealth in Frankfort Tuesday.
According to Pennyrile Electric Spokesman Brent Gilkey, the students visited the state capital as a part of the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperative’s Youth Tour. The program brings selected students together to tour Frankfort and learn about state government.
He adds during the day-long program students met with State Representative David Meade and toured the state capitol building, the Governor’s mansion, and the Kentucky History Museum.
Students who attended included; Olivia Ricks and Tyler Freeman from Trigg County High School, Tate Wells from Heritage Christian Academy, Lainey Burman from University Heights Academy, Alyssa Romney and Macey Dukes from Christian County High School, and Janae Bracey and Maia Bradford from Hopkinsville High School.
